it sems to me that the biggest problem of bogota is that, the inequality between people is too big, because there are lots of poor people, and a few of rich people, and it is not the only thing that is unfair, rich people have more opportunities for example, to get into a good university, and most of the people that isnt rich, have to go to any private college, and if they finish, they will have paid a debt for years, because scholarships in bogota universities are difficult to get. another excample of inequality is that some people study their five years or more years of major, and when they finish and look for a job, they dont find one, and if they do, it has a bad salary, anms there are lots of examples, these ones are the ones that comes to my mind when i think about opportunities and inequality in bogota.
I feel that the biggest problem in Bogota is the insecurity and all of us have lived it at some time or we will live it, so for that, I consider that is correct talk about why the insecurity is a problem, and it’s very simple because, as we know Bogota has lack of employment, lack of opportunities and also it has a lack of education which makes that many people steal because in this way is super easy to get things that they want or they need, and it seems to me that it is the roof of the cause. Maybe insecurity has increased due to the arrival of Venezuelans that they have been stealing, I’m not saying that all Venezuelans do it, but most of them do it. We can’t walk normally because we know that in any moment a robber will steal us.
I would say that the transportation is the biggest problem of our city and not just in bogota, in all the greatest cities of the world this is a complex problem, there are millions of cars that ride everyday here and there is not to much space for that, the roadways have thousands of holes, it look like the moon's surface, the rush hour in the avenues is a chaos because bogota is a so crowded and the sitp, transmilenio and the buses are not enought for all our needs. For example today i took a bus at 11:50 and i was going to arrive really late, because there was a lot of traffic so i had to run to arrive to the colombo and i was sweating to much, it was not so good and that is what the people have to face everyday, at least bogota will have finished the "metro" in the next years.
I would say that the main problem in Bogotá is the insecurity that exists, mainly due to the lack of job opportunities and this necessity does that people have to resort to acts of violence and crime. This means that the other citizens can't go out on the streets with peace of mind because at any time or place can steal our objects. Summing up, I must say that one solution for the insecurity in Bogotá would be that there were more job opportunities and this would reduce insecurity in the city. -Paula Tovar.
I'd say that unemployment. Because, for me, is the principal guilty of other big problems in the city; due to it, if some people don't get job, they go to rob, extort people, etc. Also, the shortage of job opportunities makes that poverty increase. We live in a country with a very fragile economy, and one of the problems that has increased the unemployment is Venezuelan migration. We aren't able to receive so many Venezuelan people and it has generated a negative impact in the unemployment, because lots of employers prefer to hire Venezuelans with low earings, firing Colombians and blow up unemployment, which leaves many Colombian families without incomes. Another reason of unemployment is caused by ourselves, due to we prefer buy cheaper things from other countries and not our Colombian products, making companies go bankrupt and fire employees. -Tataiana Vivas
I would say that the biggest problem that Bogota has is insecurity, there is nowhere in the city where this is not felt, there are many reasons that insecurity is experienced in the city, such as lack of work, such as emigration, and they need money and their only way to get it is stealing, it is a problem that has always been in the city, and that in my opinion it has not been given the necessary importance to solve this issue, it is necessary to solve this problem and bill many others to advance as a society. -Luisa Vera
I may say that the biggest trouble in bogota like in all colombia is the corruption, the politicians take all the money without thinking about citizens, they do not think that a poor family is starving or there are lot of children without study. The corruption is the biggest trouble, for example here in bogota we can see there are a lot unfinished constructions, hospitals in bad conditions, a lot of people in the streets asking for food, asking for money, It is something pretty sad. This happens in all colombia not only in Bogota so ... Colombia is getting fade by the corruption.
It seems to me that Bogota's biggest problem is the traffic jam. Bogota's road infrastructure is a real pain in the neck because from the past it has been planned wrong and with many mistakes, that's a nightmare! In my opinion one way for solving the issue could be improves that infrastructure, change all pedestrian traffic lights for pedestrian bridges and remove those traffic lights. Also builds vehicular bridges and put off some traffic lights ti speed up the traffic's mobility, and extend the size of crowded avenues and motorways.
